SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS ENGINEER

Position Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Electronics Engineer (Radar Systems Branch Head) in the Radar and Antenna Systems Engineering Division of the Avionics Engineering Dept., Mission Systems Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for planning directing, and controlling all activities of the Raday Systems Branch to include managing personnel skills, processes and resources, and overall technical conduct the Branch.
• You will technically and administratively direct and supervise a professional force of analysts, scientists, engineers, and technicians.
• You will develop the technical processes and provide the required resource skills to support Integrated Product Teams. Externally Directed Teams and Enterprise Teams.
• You will promote horizontal and vertical communication and coordination, resolve conflict via negotiation, and provide cultural leadership promoting a sense of cooperation to the benefit of NAWCAD/NAVAIR as a whole.
• You will serve as an expert consultant and engineering/scientific advisor to teams in the area of Radar systems and participate in meetings and events with key personnel of other Departments.
• You will initiate, plan, and secure sponsorship for new approaches and technology developments to overcome operational deficiencies based on an understanding of Navy objectives and operational requirements.
