Position Description

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as the senior legal advisor to NAWCWD Commander, Vice Commander, Executive Director and the NAWCWD Executive Leadership Team.
• You will plan, develop, implement and administer comprehensive legal programs relating to the operation of NAWCWD and matters pertaining to NAWCWD plans, policies, programs and missions.
• You will provide a broad range of legal services to personnel on a regular basis.
• You will provide professional legal advice to NAWCWD in the fields of commercial, business, acquisition law, civilian personnel law, fiscal law, standards of conduct, environmental law, or Freedom of Information and Privacy Act matters.
• You will provide legal advice to the command on civilian personnel law, EEO, Freedom of Information Act, and conflict-of-interest issues involving civilian employees.
• You will provide legal advice on proper acquisition practices for formal advertising and negotiated methods of procurement; (See below)
• (continued) and on data, patents and copyrights, fiscal requirements, applicability and interpretation of contract clauses, extraordinary contractual relief, and disputes and/or litigation under contract.
• You will represent the command before the ASBCA, GAO, MSPB, EEOC and other administrative forums.
