QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the industrial quality department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. This announcement uses the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will participate in engineering and quality investigations of equipment/systems to ensure quality assurance standards are met.
• You will interpret and apply product specifications and other technical data to make necessary revisions to quality checklists.
• You will report adverse trends and deviations from normal manufacturing performance and/or product conformance and quality.
• You will read and interpret contracts, blueprints, work orders, instructions, technical manuals, and other technical material to complete quality assurance inspections.
• You will maintain records/reports of deficiencies and prepare technical reports.
• You will be required to have regular and predictable attendance, which is an essential function of this position.
