INTERDISCIPLINARY AEROSPACE ENGINEER/COMPUTER SCIENTIST

Position Description

You will serve as an AEROSPACE ENGINEER/COMPUTER SCIENTIST in the AIR SYSTEMS GROUP AIR VEHICLE ENGINEERING DEPT AEROMECHANICS DIV FLGT VEH M&S BR of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as chief software architectural engineer and Team Leader on multi? platform Windows native and legacy computer platform airframe simulation host software
• You will maintain and update airframe simulation host software to ensure compatibility with architectural changes within the MFS facility and other AB21000 labs.
• You will design, develop, maintain, and upgrade 3-D integrated visualization software and cockpit display software.
• You will design, develop and provide fixed and rotary wing aircraft simulation analysis tools for engineering analysis purposes.
• You will support MFS Aircraft Simulation Division high fidelity simulation cockpit trainer programs with specialized Windows and Linux based software development tools and hardware interfaces.
• You will ensure simulation software architecture products and tools that are developed meet software security requirements in accordance with appropriate Security technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• You will train Aeromechanics Division engineering personnel on advanced aircraft simulation modeling techniques and analysis tools using airframe simulation host software.
